Distraction of a Simpleton

Many many distractions... Some wanted, some not so wanted, but every one of them is enough to cause me to stop what I'm doing for a stupid amount of time. Called the KFC in Derby, finally, and set up an interview. The same day as my new piercing by my darling Jadey, but thank god not at the same time. It would be tough to choose - New job, or new nipple piercing...

Speaking of amount of time, because of my slight OCD issues, I have a routine in the mornings that I follow to the minute. I give myself an hour to get up and ready, including alarm snooze times naturally. I then have half an hour to travel to work, and 10 minutes to get ready while there. No one enjoys buggering up my routine, because I eat their heads. I was having a chat with mum 5 minutes before leaving, when Tim comes in demanding a lift to Lutton, the OPPOSITE direction to where I work.

He took 10 more minutes to get ready, but it took me getting in the car and pulling out of the drive for him to ACTUALLY GET HIS ARSE OUT OF THE BATHROOM AND STOP POOFING UP HIS HAIR! He had a handful of money "Leah, where can i put my money while I put my socks on?" "Your pocket" "I can't right now, I have to put my socks on." ¬_¬ He then demanded to borrow £3 that I don't have and called me a nasty bitch. Um, fuck off? You made me late for work?

Alex warned me about my shift today, but it wasn't enough. I started at the same time as William AND Lewis. Oh! My life was complete! A wanker and a gormless twat. Woooooo! I was having a chat with Edddddd, Eddddddddd (so called because I heard Mrs R calling his name when a TV fell on her at school once and I died laughing) and naturally Lewis came over and interrupted, telling a wonderful story about one of his teachers being a paedo. His reasons? He did a strange warm up exercise in Drama (that both Ed and I agreed was a legit exercise, having both done said exercise at school) and he read a magazine while teaching. I asked him if he actually knew what a paedophile was. To which he insulted me and then called me 'Mum'. I stormed off to stop myself punching him in the face. I then snapped a tray clean in half. They are tough trays. I don't know my own strength! O_O Ali died laughing and the massive group of SCRUMMY guys on front counter were in hysterics/really frightened.

Then the worst thing EVER happened. Lewis got sent on break. Then William at the same time. Then Ed. Then me. I was horrified at the thought of spending break with the first 2, but then thought that I could blank them if Ed was there. I walked in to the staffroom and sat down, once Lewis got his arse off a chair so I could. I then realised that Ed was smart and sat in his car. I was now stuck there. FML. I had Lewis boring me to tears talking about his 'love life' (as I said to Patience about his MASSIVE love bite - who the hell in their right mind would suck on his neck?) then I had William talking at me about the Government and interest rates, neither of which i give a flying fuck about. He then started saying how Scots are better than the Irish. I shut him up by saying 'Whatever you say, but there is at least a part of my country that is not associated with England.' Yeah, to those of you who are in the dark, my dad is Irish, making me a half. You can tell...

I got thrust on to front counter, much to my dismay, as it was sooooo busy! At one point I was packing for Sarah, when a customer came and asked for a cloth so he could wipe the table. I soaked some paper in a bit of sanitiser, and said 'I've put sanitiser on it, there you go ^^' The arsey twat I was packing for then bellowed 'I HOPE you're going to wash your hands before continuing to pack my meal!' (What, after using a cleaning product? Yeah, cause my hands are dirty and I'm using tongs anyway) I did it to please him of course, but made a point of saying to Sarah 'Oh, I just used the last of the SANITISER on my HANDS!' when I came back. Tosser.

Chris got my hopes up when I asked if I was going to be needed to stay on later on my shift tomorrow, and he told me it was the exact opposite. "What? I get to go early?" "No, can you START early?" I was starting at 9. Oh. My. God! Of course I Said yes though, cause I'm a twat. I was going to do some packing tonight, but I ended up watching Oops TV with mum and G, and now I'm watching one of their odd films. Adrian Brody in nothing but boxers - nice distraction ^__________^ Random man having oral sex with some random woman - not so nice distraction. Did I say not so nice? I meant HIDEOUS DISTRACTION! My eyes are burning!!!

The Last Supper.

Otherwise known as 'Click! Let's Punch A Hymen!' for hilarity reasons. It really was like the last supper, except none of us are going to die a hideous death thanks to one shit friend. If that was the case, I doubt I would have enjoyed it as much.

Woken at 8 AGAIN this time by Timmy throwing a book at me. O_O. Better not have been one of mine, for his own sake. Could I take Chris to the bus stop cause it's raining and he is a knob? I said yes to shut him up, then instantly went back to sleep. I did have to go, so I shoved shoes on and a hoody, rammed Chris in to the car and screamed up the road. When we got there, Tim was not stood waiting. Chris meekly said 'Oh, shall we just wait a bit til the bus comes?' Fat chance. He got shoved out of the car and in to the waiting arms of the rain. Mean? Maybe, but I'd rather have more sleep than sit in a freezing car in my pjs with a bunch of twattish kids looking at me.

Popped to see Mazi after what seems like donkeys, thanks to me being away for weeks and working every waking moment and her merely starting college. So it was me being a twat basically. Although she DID have a driving lesson at 1, so I had to bugger off for a bit. After basically admitting I was a lesbain, of course. "if someone waved a massive cock in my face I think I'd scream!" I really don't help myself...

Did banking things i.e. finally opened a student account. I was talking to this woman for an hour! Part of me DIED in that room! The woman was lovely, of course, but I genuinely had no clue was she was talking about. I was all "uh huh, uh huh. May I have my rail card and large interest-free overdraft now?" I don't know how, but I ended up on the phone to another random woman. I hate phone calls, and I have no idea why I needed to speak to her. O_O
I was told I needed to do online banking things to get a free rail card, so I agreed to everything to set it up. She then handed me my final account details, with the line 'You have decided NOT to go with online banking' screaming from the page at me. Um. Fail?

I got very upset when I had to leave Mazi's. A lot. i know it's not forever, but it will be months before I get to see her again, and I've seen her almost everyday or so for the past 5 years. She's my bestest friend. I was a wreck, Mazi was crying, Jill was wet around the eyes... Even Justin seemed to care haha! Nahh, we're rather good friends. And that line made it seem like we hate each other :/

Then it really was the last supper. Had a lovely bonding sesh with Stephen on the way there, chatting about zombies and our love for Scott Pilgrim VS The World. The meal itself was hilarious as always, with typical conversations from us. Something that had me lolling loads was SExy's "I can imagine Joe just going 'WOOOSH' off the table", which really was bloody hilarious. Nommed a GORGEY lemon/lime mocktail (I asked for a mocktail :( ) so I was happy, and Sexy and I ate exactly the same thing. Amichi's is nom Italian food. Salmon pasta ^___________^

Stuck watching disney cartoons. As much as I love Disney's films, the cartoons are SHITE. By cartoons, I mean Mickey Mouse. God damnit, he's a twat.

That's What She Said

Being woken at 8 in the morning is not fun, especially if you only started sleeping at 3 that same morning and are working an 11 hour shift later that day. I was having a lovely dream.. Dunno what it was about right now, but My name was being chanted by a large crowd ^^. Turns out it was Chris saying it over and fucking over again trying to wake me up. He couldn't get close enough to poke me as my bed is surrounded by boxes and he can't get near it, due to his foot issues. Still. Ugh.
For some reason his plea of 'can you take me to the bus stop in 5 mins' got a bellow of 'FUCK OFF NO!' I wonder why... For some reason I thought it was saturday. If only. That would have meant I wouldn't have had to work the shittest shift ever!

My boss was shift runner and he told me to take my nose stud out, yet again. For once I humoured him. For all of ten minutes, until he went back in to the office and I put it back in again. I don't know how he would react if he actually looked at me while he has conversations with me - the massive tongue bar isn't exactly inconspicuous... It's a good thing he's male and completely oblivious to just about everything. As I was telling David last night, I once watched a customer walk out with a massive carboard Krushems picture and said to him 'Um... Joe? Why is that man leaving with the Krusems thing?' Not 10 minutes later he returned and looked at the lobby, really confused. He then went 'Uhhh.... Leah? Where's the Krushem thing gone?' 'I did infact tell you about it as it was happening'

He actually paid attention to me a little today, telling ANYONE WHO WOULD LISTEN, including me, That 'Poor Leah has such a long day today!' He then sent me on break at 2. Yeah, poor Leah, eh? Lets make her work that hideous shift all in one go! Woo at her! Obviously, it went SOOOOO SLOW! More so than usual. Well, my first shift did. Then The second shift kicked in at 5, after what seemed like about 45 hours.

I had one of those fucking stupid customers, whom I tell to wait at the speaker box, but then choose to drive round anyway after a few minutes. I hate them, as I can't exactly say 'Is there any reason why you just chose to ignore me and drove round even though I told you to wait?' It sucks. So this time I was confronted with this bloke who was actually as thick as 2 short planks. He'd driven round, naturally, so I said 'Oh sir, did you miss my speaker box?' 'Well yeah. I sat there for a bit but no one answered' 'I did several times. I told you I'd be with you in a moment' 'Well, I didn't hear that bit' 'Sir, you answered me. Twice. Have we established that you are impatient yet?' Fabby, as always, I think you'll agree.

The second shift was alright - no cars for hours from 8-9, so myself, both Emmas and C-hole spent a lovely time chatting. Emma giving me uni advice and little Emma enquiring about mine and C-holes various tattoos and piercings each. I got very excited by some of the things Emma mentioned and Ed seconded - I want to get tested for Chlamydia just so I can get a cool pair of pants. I AM a tool.

FINALLY finished at 11, but had a sitdown outside for 5 minutes despite really REALLY wanting to go home, even if I did face the prospect of that fucking bloke being on my drive waiting for me. Or worse - IN my parking space. O_O Although we had so much fun bitching about people that when it came to taking my till off I didn't want to go. Also discovered that when I wear my cap without my hair in a ponytail I look Like a paedo. Great.

Got home and literally faceplanted the bed. I only moved from that position when I realised I physically couldn't breathe. My nose has now become a tap - WHY? I'm not even that cold and my room isn't particularly dusty! FML. Although have no work tomorrow and nice plans, so S'all good in the 'hood. ^___________^

I'm In Lesbians With You!

That I am, that I am. I lesbians you very much indeed ^^ I'm just such a nice person. I have lesbians for everyone in the world. Apart from rapists.

Today was my first open at work in aaaaaaaaaages, so it was SO WEIRD! Charlie was shift running, so she did everything that needed to be done, hours in advance, so I had bugger all to do, so I was bored before the store even opened. I had a list of things. That I completed half an hour quicker than expected. Being quick = fail (That's what she said lolz)

Poor Patience. Some twat came in and started kicking up about the lack of fries at half 10 in the morning, when they are cooked to order. As he was leaving he insulted her hugely and got banned and chased from the store. It isn't fair, the way we're treated. We're only doing our jobs, and people rip the shit out of us constantly and take the piss and just generally have no manners. I wouldn't dream of treating someone in the same way I've been treated sometimes! Ah well, you've gotta do it.
I was only meant to be working til half 2, but because I'm so nice I swapped with Patience and stayed til 6 so she could go instead. She said she really would miss more. I hope for more than the fact that I often cover her shifts :)

The Staffi puppy from the other day was overtaken in the cuteness scale by a 3 month old Tea Cup Chihwahwah (yeah, obviously the literal spelling. I can't bloody spell it! But you know what I mean. Surely... ¬¬. I hope so anyway.) I don't normally like them, as they are so bloody small, but I squealed so highpitched when the woman came to the window I wear only the dog could hear me! With its terrified little face and shakey body. Even the German Shepherd that came through soon afterwards didn't make me squeal as much. Someone heard me screaming and shouted out a comment so I went out front to give my 2 pennies worth - Mum and G came in just as I was going on break, so I went out to sit with them and had a lovely little chat! G made my day without even realising it - he grabbed my bag of rubbish and turned to move to put it in the bin, just as mum stood up, and ended up smacking her round the face with it. I laughed so hard and spat my drink out. Her reaction was hilarious! It brightened up the afternoon, which went sooooo slooooowly as we were dead. Of course. ugh...

Got in the staffroom on time after having my till taken off (!!!) and got my bag out of my locker. Literally 5 seconds later David rang asking if I wanted to see Scott Pilgrim Vs The World. Omfg YES! I'm always up for a little cinema trip. ^_^ As I was leaving work, I was having a little chat with my Hayleycakes, who was up a ladder for some reason and she suddenly went 'Ooooh, look at that crash!' and low and behold, a massive array of carnage spread itself over the road outside the store. They hit so hard the entire front came off one of them. I almost crashed myself as I drove past, as I was too busy looking at the carnage. And there was a bomb in the bus station today. I miss all the drama! :( :(

God damn, the film was AMAZING! It was so so funny! I was in stitches for almost the entire film! Final fantasy reference ftw! And FF2 no less - I love that one! The best bit was similar to the abbot part in Robin Hood - A girl came to the door and asked for Scott. While someone opened the door, Scott very obviously jumped out of the window, Then reached back inside for a coat. It was uber rofl material. Edgar Wright is awesome - I love him again ^____________^ The title of this post is also to do with the film - 'Lesbians' is the most important 'L' word. Obviously. Men....

Came back to another massive group convo, which was amazing as always. This was a little shorter this time - only 3 hours or so. We must be losing our touch haha. Also had a very touching conversation with Alex, which made me look like a lobster the entire time due to blushing so much. It's a bit of a shock when someone tells you they've fancied the arse off of you for over 2 years. And nice, obviously. God I have a massive ego now tee hee. David said it's like guys form an orderly queue and make themselves known when the slot becomes available (that sounded so much better in my head O_O) Maybe he's right.

I might sleep at some point. Even though I complain about the 3 hour shifts I sometimes have to work, that is nothing compared to tomorrow. 11 hours, and I'm not even agreeing to stay on during my actual shift. It is pre planned. Dear God, why do I do this to myself? Ultimate Tit!

DEEP IMPACT!

Popped over to see Kay today ^^ Lucky for me, Sexy, Claxton and Moose also had the same idea, so we had a lovely day having a bitch and general catchup. We all brough our cars, so add those to the cars already on Kay's drive and you had a total of 9. Awesomes...

I must say that Claxton makes me laugh SO MUCH! We were watching the music channels and Robbie and Gary Barlow's song came on. Claxton said the video made it look like they were having a gay relationship. That was it, I was off, and it kinda set the tone for the rest of the day, as naturally we talked about sex. A lot. As is usual for us, much to the collective horror of David and Dan if they're around. We have discussed in the past that the assumption about men is incorrect - they hardly ever talk about sex, whereas we rarely talk about anything else. ^____________^

The main point was that we wouldn't be able to see each other for ages, as most of us were going to uni, yet Claxton and Kay we're going for various reasons. They were talking of meeting up and having sex (obviously O_O) and crying about missing us all. I had to take it one step further by saying that they will be crying about missing us WHILE having sex, which really did set the bar quite low for the day. Bloody funny though.

We popped over to maccy Ds to see David, as he was gay and working. Men can multitask, it seems. (Sorry David! I know you're not gay!) Claxton actually died when the cashier told us there was no icecream. She was fine when Kay told her there was vienetta at home. We all were. It's easy being greedy ^^ David couldn't come and see us either, cause he is a bender. Or it may not have been his fault. I'm not sure.
On the way back to the car, a van started driving towards us. We were in the middle of the road, but it took us AAAAAAAGES to realise we had to move out of his way. He had Bon Jovi's Livin' On Your Mum (Or A Prayer. Whatever) blaring out of his window. Sexy and I just looked at each other before screaming 'WE GOTTA HOOOOOOOOOOLD OOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNN TO WHAT WE'VE GOT! IT DOESN'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE IF WE'RE NAKED OR NOT!!' I am aware that those aren't the real words, but my mum taught me the joke words, and I taught everyone else and it stuck. Bugger off with your judgement. (tee hee Judgement JUDGEMENT?!?!?)

We got back and nommed Maccy Ds, which seems to be the only thing I'm eating at the moment. Ahhhh, I'm a student already ^^ Sexy added loads of sprinkles to her vienetta, but then she decided the icre cream just slowed her down, so she ate them straight from the tin. She's a cool one (Y) I practically poured choclate sauce straight down my throat, which obviously would have been very attractive ot all viewing, thank god Kay was preoccupied and didn't have the camera out. We played Buzz Quiz again, which Claxton failed at as she brought the guinea pig upstairs with her and he kept eating her hair.

I won the movie quiz! There was a question about Amadeus - naturally I aced it. It was easy though. "Which composer's life was the focus of the film" Any doofus would know that Amadeus was his name. Well, it wasn't, but that's what many people think. Don't judge me because I'm sad enough to know loads about him! Half way through the game Claxton got a phone call from her mum saying she was locked out, so she had to leave to let her in. I remember thinking 'haha! glad everyone has their own key at mine'

We all left at the same time, Even Kay and James to pick up her sisters from school. The school we had all previously attended - it's weird to think we won't ever be going back there! Apart from to collect our certificates, but we can forget that. It doesn't count. We had a convoy of cars, which was the awesomes! (and is pictured) I am in the lead, in my stupid flower car, With Moose Behind and Sexy following her. In their nice, normal-looking cars, obviously. Then some random, which ruins it slightly.

I got home and Tim came STORMING over to my car screaming 'WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!' 'I'm parking my car and going inside, what the hell did you think I was doing?' Turns out he'd been locked out of the house for an hour. Like it was my problem! Ah well, I nommed some salmon then settled down to write the blog. This is at about half 6. I got in to a conversation with David on msn. SExy got added. Then Claxton. Then Kay. Then finally Moose. It was IMMENSE! It is now half past midnight, and the conversation is finally over. 6 hours of constant bitching and hilarities. We are hilariously bitchy! It's great!

Obviously because I had to keep up with the conversation, the blog got abandoned until completion of the convo. It really was epic. Also had to keep convos with Martin and Graham going also, as well as Josh on Fb chat, so I literally couldn't click away for more than a second. Gracie was also sending me a load of songs, so It killed me that I couldn't sort them in different folders. Ah well. She made me listen to one song and I fell completely in love. It's Korean, and I've listened to it 117 times tonight. O_______________O

My mum made me cry tonight. In the past when we've talked about me leaving, she's joked and laughed about it etc, saying she'l relish how quiet it'll be and how she'll love not having to hear me scream at Chris all the time. I always knew that she'd miss me, but she never showed it so I never really thought about it. I showed her a list of all the things I'm doing Freshers Week, including a welcome party on the day I move in. She went to work and complained about how I won't miss her (which is blatantly not true) but she'll miss me loads. She then hugged me and said "You're my little girl, and now you're leaving me. I wish I could turn back time to when you were born and just do it all again. I will miss you so much."

I'm crying as I'm writing this. I am genuinely sobbing. What she said has only just really hit me. I won't get to spend much time with her in my last few days, as I'm working or she is. It almost makes me not want to go. I'm gonna hate that first separation. Don't get me wrong, I'm fiercely independent, but we're so close. It's going to be so difficult... :(

Oh god, I've gone all glum again... On a plus, I'm finding out more about what happened on that night out in Derby. FML.

¬_¬

My mum just came in and complained that my room was a mess, and she could hardly walk in to it.

That would be because it's full of boxes, mum. I have to pack EVERYTHING I own, even stuff I'm not taking to uni due to switching rooms.

I packed up my dvds and books tonight, which was slightly painful in a way, because I'm so sad. It was tough deciding which dvds to take to uni, although as some people will know, there are some that will DEFFO be coming with me! I know I'll have urges to watch the ones I haven't taken with me. I just know it.

After putting the final volume of Fushigi Yugi Genbu Kaiden in its box, I really wanted to read them. No manga is coming with me - there would be no room! My selves look so empty, and it made me feel kinda sad in a way. Yes, I'm especially excited to leave home and go to uni etc etc, but it's so close now it's weird. Before, it seemed likely, though it wasn't definite, so I didn't really think about it that much. Now it's happening for sure, and in only a few days. Scary stuff, that. O_O

Relaxing and watching The Prince Of Egypt. In German. Without subtitles. I feel special ^_____^

And yes, I DO understand what they're saying! ¬¬

Then I Go And Spoil It All By Saying Something Stupid...

Like "Oh, FUCK YOU!" Noooo, I didnt say that to a customer today *looks shifty* God damn, it's the days like today that I really won't miss. For one, it was BLOODY FREEZING!! No one else seemed to be cold though, so I looked a bit of a pillock shivering in my hoody the entire shift.

My till crashed literally 5 seconds after I got put on it, so I got majorly stressed out. A car full of chavs started heckling me while I was trying to serve. One said "Can I have a winder?" I just went "No :)" and shut the window. I had a COMPLETE sense of humour failure today. Not helped by the amount of wankers that came through.

We were really quiet, so the shift went soooo slowly! Whilst Emma and myelf were trying to get some cleaning done, the odd car would come through and completely wind us up. Everyone was really stressy, it wasn't just me. Adam was complaining at 2 about having been there since 7 and having not had a break. I told him not to worry - he'd get his later, meaning he'd only have a few hours left. I then said I would get my break really early. Adam got sent on his break at half 2. I did too. FML.

Am also a pillock - for some reason I agreed to cover Daniel's shift on thursday. I'm now working 12-11. Um... Ouch? Joe promised to phone the Derby stores for me today. He left at half 2, having not done it. ¬¬ Jade had to do it in the end, and had good news! They sounded really keen about having me, which is always good.

Things just got worse. For one, The EGO i.e. Lewis started at 5 so I had to contend with him being a complete twat the entire night, but that was nothing big until my till crashed again. Then the others did. All hell broke loose and I shut the drive through by putting a bin in the way. Some complete fucker moved it and a stream of cars poured in. Fuck. Off!

Had a blazing row with some old fucker about the fact that he said he'd been told that he could have all legs in his meal, to which I told him that he'd been told incorrectly. His response? 'Listen, you little madam! I do not wish to be called a liar!" "Sir, I can't hear you. Would you like to drive round to the window and we will discuss it there?" "I'd love to!!!!" I was smart enough to take my name tag off before we started, so he had nothing to go by if he was to complain. Turns out he was wrong, seeing as Jade, Charlie AND Ali, who are all shift runners, informed him too. His son was so embarassed he practically smothered himself in his hoody.

Did you know, that if the fly on your work uniform is undone and you go in to a shop, that a small child will make a beeline for your crotch with their head and car themselves for life? No, I didn't either. Although I do now. Poor Kid O_O Mum made Lemon pie, so all is better in the world. Those people that know me well enough will know that I completely adore citrus fruits!

I'm not working tomorrow. I'M SO HAPPY!
